My Students

Our students are some special, young people. They come from various backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. They attend school in the lowest-funded district in the state, ranking seventy out of seventy. But guess what? They rank one out of seventy in growth! That's right, our students attend school in the top-growing district in the state! This means our students care.

They are hard-working, motivated and driven to succeed.

Because of the effort they put in and their determination, they deserve the very best learning environment and teachers.

My Project

I have a variety of students in my classroom with a variety of interests. Recently I had a couple of students ask me for some psychology/self-help books and I realized I didn't have any. I have selected a few titles I think may be of interest on the subject, as well as a few other titles that I think will pique the interest of some of my other students. I want to encourage reading outside of our required class reading, and I think adding these titles will help do just that.
