Who are my students? They are 40 enthusiastic, hard-working, fun-loving, amazing kids. They come from different backgrounds, have different interests, learn in many different ways, but all share a love for learning. They are so excited about getting new stations and games for our classroom to help them on their reading journey. !
"The more that you read, the more that you know; The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Dr. Seuss.
While some of my students have been in school before, this is the first time others have ever been in a school environment. By the end of the year, all my students will be well on their reading journey and off to great places. Just ask Dr. Seuss!
My Project
Students learn faster and better with hands-on activities. This accommodates all types of learners: visual, kinesthetic, tactile, auditory, and so much more by keeping them active and engaged while learning. The alphabet tubs will help those still learning letters be able to physically touch and sort objects rather than just look at pictures. The blend puzzles and other phonics games will provide an engaging and more challenging experience for those students already reading.
By having these items in my learning centers, it will take education to a whole new level.
These centers will help students grow their skills in areas such as: rhyming sounds, beginning sounds, story sequencing, letter recognition, building words, syllable counting, sight-words and simple sentences. These foundational skills are all essential prerequisites to reading. The students can also work collaboratively using the manipulatives to maximize their learning experience!
Thank you so much for your interest in my project!
