My Students
Hi, I am a second year teacher teaching in South Carolina. I teach at a Title I, low income, high poverty school, and I absolutely LOVE teaching there. My school serves free breakfast and lunch for all students. A good majority of my students receive backpack lunches for weekends.
My students read 1-2 grade levels below their 3rd grade level. Several of my students speak another language at home. My students lack background knowledge and home resources to further their education.
My Project
I am a second year teacher with limited classroom resources. My students need engaging texts to motivate and encourage them to read. My students read BELOW grade level and it is essential that I have books they want to read in my classroom library. My goal is to make my students fall in love with reading so they will become lifelong readers. Please consider donating to my sweet and curious class. We need more books of varied genres to add to our classroom library so they will have a large variety of books to choose from. It is very important that my students have a variety of books to choose from!
