Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you imagine a life where books are a luxury item? To my students, they sadly are. Let's change that!
My students are ravenous readers who cannot read books fast enough. My students come from an extremely disadvantaged area and many do not have books to read at home. As a result, my classroom library is their sole source of books and sadly, our class library is limited at best.
My Project
Our school is creating a school wide competition for reading books. My students are eager to win! Unfortunately, many have read almost every book in our class library. I am so proud of them and want to provide them more books to help fill their appetite for reading. We need YOUR help!
Watching my students' eyes light up when they find a book they love is something so rare. Help them find books that expand their horizons and capture their imaginations. Please help me continue to help them grow into well read leaders!
