I teach struggling readers in 4th and 5th grade! I strive to create a calm, colorful, organized and safe space for them in my classroom. Each item on the list will help me address their individual and group needs.
Small group learning is essential, The stools and chair will help provide comfortable seating.
Dividers will help them stay focused and journals will help them organize their reading responses. All these items will make a HUGE difference in the classroom setting and with their learning.
My students are so special and just need a little extra encouragement. By working with them in small groups I am able to teach them important strategies that will help them succeed in reading and in life.
