Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In the current American political climate, my students take on life-changing issues generally geared toward adults. Students recover from virtual learning by attacking literature and its connection to their natural life/human conditions.
In our classroom, we take advantage of connecting life and literature by addressing the uniqueness all individuals possess with the respect that we are more alike in many ways than different.
Most of my students have limited appreciation for English and especially literature.
So, while I come to the classroom with love for literature education, my students will read the novel and use the study guides to bring a heart that connects work throughout history to understanding and addressing real-time scenarios.
