My Students
My students are the most caring, unique, and energetic students you will meet. All of my students are diagnosed with different disabilities, and many of them are English Language Learners (ELL) as well. They come from low-income families and receive free school breakfast and lunch. Despite all this, they are filled with curiosity and are always eager to learn. The students in my class love to engage in fun activities, especially those that are hands-on.
My Project
In September, I will be meeting a new group of fourth graders, some who have not been in a school building for over a year and a half due to the pandemic. These students will need high-interest books at their reading levels to help them fall in love with reading again.
I am hoping to fill the classroom library with an abundance of books so my students can read their hearts out, and move up reading levels!
Our classroom currently has a limited amount of books that meet the needs of my students. The books that I am requesting will allow my students to feel successful in reading.
