My Students

As part of a low-income community, many of our students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, my team and I try to provide our students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. They are full of life and energy and are hungry to learn about the world around them. They are very kind young people and they are learning to work as a team since we have adopted a project-based learning model.

My Project

Dry erase boards and markers are super useful classroom tools that provide a quick and easy way for students to show what they know and save space in their desks.

In our classroom we use white boards and dry erase markers every day in almost every subject.

During reading, we place text passages in sheet protectors and underline and respond to text with the markers.

In math, students work out problems and draw models of their thinking and then check their partner’s work with white boards.

While writing, students can easily create, revise and edit their sentences using dry erase markers.
