My Project
I love how eager my English Learner (EL) students will be to grow in their academic and language skills. They bring curiosity, resilience, and a desire to learn—even when the content is challenging or presented in a new language. I aim to create a learning environment where they feel confident engaging with science while developing their reading and writing skills.
To support this, I am requesting:
Journals for each student to help them summarize stories, reflect on their learning, and practice writing in English.
A copy of the story Drop: An Adventure through the Water Cycle (A Science Pals Book) brings the water cycle to life in a fun and accessible way.
An electric pencil sharpener to keep the learning flow smooth without interruptions.
These materials will make a big difference in helping my students connect with environmental science content and strengthen their literacy. By reading, writing, and engaging with science stories, my students will build vocabulary, comprehension, and confidence in both language and science.
