My Project

When I started in this library at the beginning of the year, our collection had an average age of 1993. I have improved the age of our collection to 2003. We still have a long way to go to get our library full of current, high interest books that my students want to read.

They love Taylor Swift and this project will help me give them access to books they want to read.

It includes their most loved and requested celebrities, favorite book characters, and a few surprises I would love to introduce to them.

Just like the rest of the planet, my students are Swifties! Part of our library curriculum is to teach the students about biographies and I think adding books with people they care about will engage them in their reading. We have several book series that our students are hooked on, like Eerie Elementary, that are incomplete in our library collection and this project will help fill that void.
