I have amazing students who love to learn, think, explore, and read.
I work at a Title I rural school.
I teach ELAR to all the 4th graders in our school...about 35 students this year. My students are wonderful, curious kids. Lots of them spend their evenings and weekends helping their parents take care of cattle, other livestock, and drive tractors. They get to experience the "country life" that most kids only hear about.
My students love to come to school to learn new and exciting things. They love to read and explore new activities. Like most kids their age, technology is also one of their favorite pastimes! I work every day to inspire them to work toward their dreams and be all they can be!
My classes love the Newbery award-winning novel Shiloh. I've read it each year, and it is always a favorite. Our current novels are falling apart. Each day another one needs repairing or is missing pages. It would be wonderful to have a new class set for us to enjoy for many years to come!
Each time I pull out Shiloh, it instantly becomes a hit with everyone.
They beg me to continue reading each day so they will know what happens. I want to be able to continue reading the book with each new group I get each year, and these novels will help me do just that!
