My Project

As a Reading/Language Arts teacher, I specialize in assisting students who require additional support in a regular education setting. Students with reading disabilities are often in my classroom and struggle to keep pace with students who are not delayed. My goal is to implement strategies and accommodations that will help my students use their full potential with reading. While students are struggling with their reading skills, these pens would help them feel less stressed by having a pen that can read out loud to them.

By providing learning-disabled students with text-to-speech pens, they will experience a transformative learning experience.

Sometimes the students are underestimated because the reading stands in the way of the comprehension of the story. Every student has abilities and sometimes their reading ability dampens their ability to prove it to themselves. These tools will improve their understanding of any educational material and it will help boost their confidence. This will also provide a more inclusive and supportive learning environment for my students. The accessibility of text-to-speech pens will empower students to engage more effectively with their studies, helping them reach their full academic potential.
