This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My scholars are a diverse group of learners that enjoy using their imaginations and creativity to demonstrate their knowledge as well as collaborate with their peers. Hands-on activities engage each one at their own level making learning interesting and fun even when they are faced with a challenge. Each one will have the opportunity to think outside the box by being able to build their unique solutions and express their own thinking. It will allow for everyone's ideas and imaginations to come together benefiting our classrooms community.
My Project
Having access to Scholastic magazines will help build both reading and math fluency. Each student will have their own copy to practice grade level skills in class as well as at home.
Storyworks Magazine will help to build fluency skills and allow for me to meet the students on their reading level using interesting non-fiction stories.
The magazines can also be something they can share with their families as they build their skills.
Science Spin will expose the students to real life topics as well as build vocabulary and reading fluency.
Must Know Math is a skill building book for grade 3 students. Extra practice always helps!
