First grade is such a critical year for mastering so many foundational skills, and setting students up for success in the future. I am requesting Scholastic News and Science Spin.
I would love to offer Scholastic Magazines and Scholastic Science Spin to my first graders.
These magazines will give my students the opportunity to learn about high interest topics, at their reading levels. Students will love having their own magazines to take home, which will encourage reading. My goal is for my students to gradually go from "learning to read" to "reading to learn" from using these magazines. Scholastic magazines always have topics that interest my students and they love the word games included. My favorite day is when the Scholastic magazines arrive and I get to first introduce them to the students.
