Help me give my students reading centers that are differentiated to what they need!
Every day my students work in intentional reading groups with other students who read at their level.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Emami's classroom raised $307

My Students
I teach 2nd grade ELA (Reading and Writing) at a public school in the community of Englewood, on the South Side of Chicago. The school currently serves 410 students grades K-8. I currently have 45 2nd graders- 24 in the morning, and 21 in the afternoon. 100% of the students live in the surrounding Englewood community.
My 2nd grade students are bright, curious, and ready to learn and work hard every day!
I am committed to providing every single one of my 2nd graders with the tools and skills they need to succeed in reading and writing- and to become college bound and ready.
My Project
These materials will be used in my reading centers. Every day, students work in intentional reading groups that I create using data. They come to guided reading with myself 1-3 times a week, as well as work on technology.
Students need engaging, fun, and RIGOROUS work to do during independent time at centers.
These activities need to be specific to their reading needs. I have some students who struggle to decode CVC words, while others are reading chapter books breezily.
It is important that I am acknowledging the needs of all of my students, and pushing them towards being on grade level with their reading. We READ to SUCCEED.
