My Students
I am looking forward to meeting my students this year. In my first year of teaching I want to be able to provide them with all the tools necessary for success! About 20 percent of the students at my school are English language learners so I am looking forward to being a part of their journey with the knowledge I accumulated in my specialized degree program, geared towards English as a second language training.
My goal this year is to make meaningful connections with students and families.
Student learning is so much more impactful when the teacher is able to connect with students and be a relatable resource. I can't wait to see what the year has in store, and I look forward to learning alongside students and their families!
My Project
Thank you for taking the time to look at my DonorsChoose.org project. I have picked materials to start my classroom and teaching experience, that I think will benefit the learning environment. I am teaching English language arts and books that kids are interested in, is key to improving literacy and igniting passion!
My goals for English language arts this year are to find ways to get kids excited about reading and help foster an intrinsic passion for reading that will extend beyond the classroom.
