Two sets of books for the 6th grade classroom; 25 copies each of "The Skin I'm In" and "Locomotion"

I am the librarian in an urban high needs school, K-6. Our library collection needs a major overhaul, as most of our books are over twenty years old and my library budget is just $1,000 per year.
Every year, I order a few current, award-winning fiction books, and the minute these books are on display, they are snatched up. The kids in my school can't wait to read them, but unfortunately, there are so few. Classroom teachers especially would like a few current book sets that kids are interested in reading.
I have chosen two sets of books (25 each) for the 5th and 6th grade classrooms. I know the kids will love these books and will willingly read them together. This can be the start of our new "teen library" and get these kids started on the road to reading for pleasure.
I am tired of telling a child, "No, I'm sorry but that book is checked out right now." I am also tired of trying to respond to a child when she asks, "Where do you keep the good books?" I know what they want to read and I know that when they are available, these books just fly off the shelves. If you can help purchase these two classroom sets, we would all appreciate it and the children will respond personally to tell you how much they love to read.
