My students are excited to come to school each day. They have so much energy and a strong desire to learn and grow! I love making learning fun for them through hands-on learning activities. My students are six and seven and they are learning how to read, write, add and subtract. Many of my students have come into first grade well below grade level. They have a strong desire to learn.
My students are our future!
They have a wide range of academic, social, and emotional needs. I want to ensure that they become productive citizens some day. I want to provide them with appropriate materials to help them become readers, writers, and mathematicians.
My Project
This year my students have a take home reading folder. Everyday my students take home a leveled book on their reading level and a parent read aloud. I need more parent read aloud books for my students to take home.
The books I have picked out will allow my parents to immerse their child in rich language and prepare them to be successful in school.
They will be able to take their child to places and times they have never been or may be able to experience.
Please help me provide all of my families with read aloud books to make reading aloud a daily routine.
