This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After observing a decline in interest in books over the past few years, I intend to bring literature alive in the classroom by integrating it with math and other core subjects. These books will engage them as much as the stories they watch online!
Children who are glued to their devices all day often come to school not realizing how books can open up their wildest imaginations.
These thematic books will aid in planning for our pre-K curriculum which will spark student interest in all subject areas. Children will then develop a new-found interest in reading, instead of playing video games.
