My Students

My classroom is full of eager and ready to learn 4th graders. Many of them come from economically disadvantaged homes. They are from a variety of backgrounds offering a unique learning experience for each and every one of us. They all learn differently and I work hard to offer many differentiated lessons and opportunities for their learning styles.

My students love to move, work collaboratively and be engaged in their own learning.

I want my students to come into my class, be comfortable, make choices that impact their learning and become readers for a lifetime.

My Project

This project is designed to open my students' eyes to a day in history that forever changed the world. It is an opportunity for them to see the world through different perspectives, but also see how all people were affected by one moment in time.

With your donation I plan to use Nine, Ten: A September 11 Story to get my students engaged in reading historical fiction and create a SPARK for reading and learning.

With this book, I plan to teach and discuss tolerance, diversity and understanding by opening up their eyes to how they can change the world by being KIND to everyone.
