This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a tremendous third-grade class. I love coming to school every day to teach my students new skills. Knowing that I can share my favorite reading books from when I was young makes it even better. The students I teach are eager and enthusiastic about learning because I incorporate engaging reading materials with exciting activities that teach them comprehension strategies such as summarizing, point of view, making connections, etc.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and have many life experiences and stories.
I need to give them the literary tools to achieve high reading comprehension in a well-stocked library. That's not only accessible but comfortable. With the double-sided library cart, I can move my books around the room, but I can also share with my teammates. Because who doesn't want to spread the love of reading? Reading is the best way to escape into a world that is not your own. It allows your imagination to expand and grow into something unknown while reading a book. Please help me make this a fun and successful school year.
