My Students

My school is located in North Central Montana on the edge of the Rocky Boy Reservation. My students all come from low-income homes and are not given many opportunities to learn about technology. They are always excited to expand their knowledge especially when given the opportunity to do exciting projects. My goal as a teacher is to make learning fun! My students come to school because it is exciting and they never know what we will learn in the classroom. They are offered a safe learning environment where they can explore new tasks. However, since we have limited supplies I am unable to provide them with up-to-date technology. I would also like to incorporate more STEAM activities into the classroom.

My Project

This program helps my students develop into better readers. The students use it daily to read and answer questions. It helps with fluency and comprehension. Each student is placed at their level so they can see the success of reading. I am hoping to renew my read naturally subscription so I can continue to use it throughout the year. It will also benefit my students for next year. With all the challenges of teaching this year it is nice to have a program that can place students at a level they can read.
