Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are hungry for book ownership. Through my project, Read More-Read Better, my students are able to experience the joy of reading and book ownership.

Expanding book access and book ownership will inspire my students to become better readers.

These books will be used in a book giveaway to any interested students. By providing free books by diverse authors about diverse subjects, I am hoping to improve not only the love of reading but also reading comprehension and fluency. In my experience, high school students love to get their hands on a good novel or nonfiction text. Previous book giveaways have been wildly successful. It's exciting to see eager students gathered around the book table!
