My Students

My students ooze curiosity and enthusiasm! I have the pleasure of teaching a diverse group of learners. They range from special education students to English language learners to students performing above grade level.

My goal as a teacher is to create a community of life long learners. I strive to recognize the individual strengths of each student and to foster their creativity so that they will grow where they have been planted.

My Project

These books will truly enhance the exciting, diverse classroom library that I continually strive to create. Our classroom library is an active place! My students use it daily. They read, discuss and recommend books to one another. Students treasure the books that they discover there, and they are grateful for the opportunities to read. Each book was chosen with my diverse students' interests in mind.

Students want choices and a diverse, well-rounded library gives them the opportunity to choose books that truly interest them.

The only way to become a better reader is to read more, and these books will help my students grow as readers. My students have already shown they LOVE to read and this project will only enrich this LOVE!
