My amazing fourth graders are eager to set goals and make improvements during the school year. Each year my new group of students work together to build community within our classroom. My students learn to embrace differences, encourage one another, and to overcome obstacles.
Each child in my class comes to school with a different background.
These backgrounds are what make our class so special. We learn from each other and the students feel valued.
The school district is in a suburban area in Ohio. Some students come to the district from out of the country, for a few years, while their parent teaches at a local university. Often times we have students that are here short-term while their parent is serving in the military. The district is wonderful and the students and families are truly the best!
My Project
I have asked for funding for three different book titles and funds to put towards supplemental materials to go along with each book. The three books are very different but teach students about a variety of virtues including kindness, generosity, perseverance, and grit!
I feel that each of these titles are quality literature pieces that I would love to share with my students!
They will benefit from the smartly crafted storylines, the rigor of the text, and the diversity of characters. The credit towards Teachers Pay Teachers will help me by providing quality supplemental materials to go along with each book. The materials are digital in format so they will be able to be used for years to come.
