My Project

Starting the school year with a good book is always the way to capture the hearts of the children in a classroom and help me to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind-to teach them the ins and outs of the classroom, with using story books. Students will also be able to take these books and read them by themselves later in the year.

Reading aloud creates a classroom community by establishing a known text that can be used as the basis for building on critical thinking skills that are related and unrelated to reading.
