My Project

Our students love to vote for our state's book awards each year. Our K-3 kids vote for the picture book they want to win the Arkansas Diamond Award and the 4th graders vote for the Charlie May Simon Award.

We've participated for the past six years and love reading all the nominees and choosing our favorite.

We have a Battle of the Books competition and the students try to get the friends to vote for their choice. The book choices are very diverse and help us learn about other cultures that are different than the ones we are accustomed to reading and learning about.
