Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, is a motivated, self-driven, and an enthusiastic learner. Every day, they come ready to learn and eager to share! Building a classroom community is the most important directive in our class. My students are very diverse and come from many different socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of my students are receiving free/reduced-price lunch, and we are all survivors of the recent Maui wildfires which ravaged many homes in our Kula community. However, when you walk into our classroom, you do not see students in need with barriers to overcome. Instead, you see students so excited to learn and participate in our big classroom community, our home.
I strive to build a community in a school that leaves the struggles at the door, so the students know they're a part of a community that supports and focuses on their individual strengths.
These Lakeshore Math and Reading games and puzzles will provide challenging learning opportunities through play. The puzzles and games will serve as learning centers for independent and partner work to keep students engaged, while I work with small reading groups, and provide math intervention at the teacherʻs table. The Lakeshore Bridge the Gap! Language and Math Practice Cards will be a welcomed addition at the teacherʻs table where I aim to differentiate instruction to meet all students needs. Your donation will help to make my classroom a place where Math and Reading are challenging and fun!
