Read It... Explore It... Play It! iPads Make a Difference!
Help me give my students 2 iPads. Putting these 2 iPads into my Kindergarteners hands will help them listen to ebooks, learn their letter sounds, and explore math concepts!

My Students
I teach 26 general education, ENL kindergarteners. Our class is comprised of students of all different learning abilities, languages and experiences. Many of my students come from families who are new to the country and many of these young learners are coming to school for the first time to learn to speak, understand, read and write English. I also have students who receive services for speech and OT. My students come from varied backgrounds with different economic needs. These Kindergarteners are eager learners who want to succeed!
My Project
In a kindergarten class of 26 students having two iPads to share during center time would be amazing! My kindergarten students would greatly benefit from having two iPads in the classroom. These young minds would be able to log onto their Kids A-Z reading program and work on their letter/sound connections, reading comprehension and listening skills during the day. They would be able to hear how words sound and they would be able to use voice recognition software to hear their own voices when they are reading. My Kindergartners would also love to explore numbers and math concepts using the many interactive programs that are available on the Internet.
Having two iPads in our classroom would greatly enhance our students’ learning so that we can use the technology of the 21st-century every day as we tackle new ideas and concepts!
