Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I read books several times throughout the day. The books need to be exciting and help the student's to learn using visuals. As the students listen to the stories, we are also working on building language skills and answering questions.
This group of books focus on building math skills through a stories.
They will learn shapes, time, patterns, numbers, sorting, etc., in very relatable stories. The other materials help students to learn basic literacy skills. We are working on rhyming skills. Playing games is a fun and creative way to develop these skills.
The students are learning to work in a group while developing turn taking skills, and self regulating their emotions while supporting their classmates. Having a variety of materials keeps the students engaged in working and wondering what activity is coming next.
