My Students

Hello! I am lucky to be a second grade teacher at a wonderful school near the base of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains in Utah. My students are a mix of various income levels and cultures. They are a mix of painfully shy and incredibly outgoing personalities. They have each individually demonstrated a love of learning day after day despite the challenges that Covid has given them. They come to school prepared and ready to learn!

One of my biggest challenges as a teacher is to meet the individual needs of my students since they have such diverse learning levels.

I use a plethora of learning strategies, tools, group work, and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met. I truly adore my students and would love to give them all the possible advantages!

My Project

These books will continue to enhance a love of learning in my classroom that I strive to create. My book nook is a place that my students really enjoy. Every student book that is purchased for my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. I have asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading, and my selections align with their levels and interests. Students will be able to choose books from my shelves, which will help them continue to enjoy independent reading time. In addition to these books,

In addition to these amazing book sets, I feel that having various flexible seating available will also give them a place to truly enjoy these new adventures they are about to discover!
