This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom has just completed reading the book "Ghost Boys" written by Jewell Parker Rhodes. This book guides readers through racism and violence of young black boys who have been killed dating back to the murder of Emmett Till to our current century.

Now we would like to read "Wonder" written by R.

J. Palacio

We want to read the book that inspired the Choose Kind movement, a major motion picture, and the critically acclaimed graphic novel White Bird.

My goal is to hand the love of reading and writing to my scholars and give them the opportunity to think critically.

My students are completing this task to provide growth in a special education setting.
