This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love working with my preschool students because they are very curious; each has their own personality, background, and learning style. These books and finger puppets will provide them with the opportunity to explore different types of books aligned with the Learning and Developmental Goals and studies in my curriculum, and to retell their favorite stories independently. I will also read these books and use the finger puppets at different times throughout the day to help my students improve their language skills. These books will help them increase their vocabulary acquisition, comprehension, literacy, and phonological awareness. Additionally, my multilingual students will have the opportunity to explore bilingual books and listen to stories read in Spanish.
