This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Walking into our school, you will find a diverse group of kids. Many of my students are English language learners, which means they are learning how to read, write, and speak English.
Our classroom is in an urban environment, filled with kids from all walks of life.
We are a Title I school, and our whole school gets free breakfast and lunch. I have a few students with troubled homes, which makes me work harder to create an environment where every child feels safe and able to learn the skills necessary to be ready for middle school and beyond.
My Project
Isn't it more fun to read when you are in a cozy and comfortable place? Of course, it is!! That is why I am trying to make my reading corner more inviting for all my students. Bean bag chairs are all the rage in the third grade, and I would love to add them to my classroom for my students.
Students work hard to earn the opportunity to relax and read a good book on a soft and serene bean bag chair.
In addition, I would like to supply some additional books to my classroom library for those low level readers to entice them to read some good books on a delightful bean bag chair.
