Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students at our school are eager learners who don't always have the educational tools or experience needed to be as successful as other students their age. These students require additional assistance in learning how to navigate through technology and the world around them. Often our students come from low socio-economic backgrounds and Spanish speaking homes. Their parents are unable to provide the academic support that is needed to teach students how to be successful.
With an Apple iPad Mini and Apple Pencil along with books we will be able to create a station that encourages readers to enjoy reading and then create their own interactive recommendations for kids to share with one another.
This project will look to close the learning gaps that students often face coming from homes were parents lack an education or an understanding of the language. Through these resources students will be exposed to important topics that will help students to be successful and contributing members of their community.
