Help me give my students stunning read-aloud books to build learning and community.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
There are so many things to love about my students! My students live in Chicago within a very diverse community in the Lakeview area. Within the city, we have the chance to see so many different things; however, there are things the city cannot provide to our wonderful group of children. I want to supply love and learning with many different materials!
My students love to learn and are hungry for more information to guide and shape their learning.
Please help my students by providing additional resources to our wonderful classroom and community. Resources and donors like you make an immense difference in our classroom everyday!
After reflecting on students learning at home and a summer away from friends due to COVID, I realized how essential my read alouds will be for my students this year. My goal is to ensure every day my students see their teacher reading at least one book a day to them for the entire year. These students are craving a place of magic, safety, and joy and with these read-aloud books, you allow me to make it happen.
I will be building community and learning through read-alouds every single day.
I have discovered the magic and the joy read alouds can bring to a classroom no matter at home or in the classroom. I want to ensure my students have that constant source of magic in their home that they can enjoy with their classmates. I will be keeping track of each book we read and allow my students the chance to reflect on 180 days of read alouds.
