This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students can be described as intelligent, courageous, charismatic and innovative! Although, only in sixth grade they are discovering who they are and who they want to be. Regardless of their obstacles, it does not get in the way of thriving and using any form of resource to achieve it.
My Project
My students love learning about history and the importance of reading about it. Having access to these digital magazines, enhances their ability to connect even at home. My sixth graders know the importance of reading, but also love to get lost in a world full of stories and characters that take them places imaginatively.
Learning occurs everywhere, that is the goal I want my students to take with them.
Giving the students options on what they can read is critical to their understanding of literature.
By picking up these magazines they are already succeeding in life.
