My Students

Reading is an essential element for any education. With a Montessori education, the children are encouraged to read all types of genres.

My students are everything you would want in your child's classroom.

They are kind, helpful, inquisitive, funny, and caring people. Some have traveled the world, while other have never left our city. They are all unique in a special way, and our community appreciates and celebrates their differences. However, they are all the same in one way, they have a strong desire to learn and make this a better world for all!

My Project

We are fortunate to be able to choose the types of literature the children read instead of given a certain reading series to follow. This is wonderful since there are so many children's books available to classrooms. We also try to give the kiddos different types of materials to read. Magazines being among their favorite.

The children love to read any type of writing.

However, nonfiction seems to be a favorite for everyone. With a multi- aged classroom, the different levels based upon the same topic give the children a familiar topic to discuss.
