My Project

Every year, on or around March 2nd, we celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday as Read Across America Day. On this day, all students read together and are brought together by a love of reading. Through the many books of Dr. Seuss, children are reminded of kindness, inclusion, and acceptance of each other. This year I would like to create a reading challenge so we can Read Across the World.

To make this year a memorable occasion, I would like to track our reading by building a world map out of LEGOs.

Students will read and earn bricks to make and add to our map. We will also create a craft to go along with our challenge. On Read Across America Day this upcoming year, we will all enjoy listening, reading, and spending time together to promote reading and unity at our school and the world.
