Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students would use the reading center to build vocabulary and enjoy a good literature book. My students who are learning to speak English would have the opportunity to see, hear and read the words in English. The other students would have the pleasure of having a book read to them as the build their vocabulary and reading fluency.

Most of us like to listen to stories and a book on CD is one of the best ways for students.

My Project

My students need to have time in their day to listen to a good book. I would like to have a listening center where they can listen to a story being read to them. The reading books on CD would give them the opportunity to listen to a good book. I would have a center for listening to the books, and having them journal write each day what they have read. There are many students who have not had someone to read to the, and a listening center gives them that experience. I am excited for them to have this in our classroom.
