Reaching Life Skills Students With Math and Reading Essentials

Help me give my students functional skills while learning to build empathy for others. I am excited for my students to build on their reading skills with the leveled book sets.

My Students

My students are awesome! Every one of my students have cognitive and physical disabilities but it doesn't keep them from being some of the best humans I know. They are loving and happy and never see bad in others. Everyday they walk through my door with big smiles and energy for the day. They typically stay in my classroom 3 years before moving to the next campus. This allows me to see growth over time. I try to challenge them and push them to their highest potential. They are such a joy to spend time with, I am living my dream job every day!

My Project

My classroom has students working on all levels. Some are working on learning behavior management skills, some are working on learning their numbers and alphabet while still others are reading on a Kindergarten/First grade level.

I am so proud of the progress my students are making this school year!

I am confident they will continue making progress with the resources I have chosen for this project. The leveled reading books as well as the matching alphabet key set will be a great resource for our classroom.

My students are hard workers and they love to please. I am confident they will spend many enjoyable hours learning with the resources in this project.
