Reaching Learning Modalities Through the Support of 3D Rendering
Help me give my students a Microsoft Surface Studio that will be used to create 3D rendered graphics to supplement my teaching and ensure I reach my students' different learning modalities.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are SPECIAL! They are loving children in the truest sense. They show kindness to one another multiple times a day on a daily basis. Sometimes, like most children (or people for that matter) need a gentle reminder or a little nudge to help them make powerful choices in their learning experiences. They are enthusiastic learners who get easily excited about school, especially when learning tools are involved. I brag about my students in the way that a proud parent brags about their children. Many of the students at my school live outside of the school boundaries so they are here on a permit. They are predominantly of Latino background.
Our class is very unique and special because they have such an eagerness for learning.
They become overly excited when new books are added to our existing collection of classroom library, or when scented crayons and markers, or new pencils are included in their tool kits. Since my students love learning and enjoy using new tools I am constantly looking to add new ideas and materials into our classroom. By nurturing their excitement I know I can help grow our future leaders.
My Project
Teaching bring such joy to my heart. I enjoy seeing the moment when the "light bulb" goes off after a student has learned a concept. Sometimes certain content has to be taught several times and in different ways before a child finally understands it. I believe all children deserve the chance to learn regardless of their gender, ethnicity, socioeconomic status or even preconceived notions of their own academic strengths and weakness.
In order to teach all students I have to allow opportunities for the students to access content through different learning modalities.
Often times I think to myself, "If I could just find a short 2 minute clip that shows (blank) I am positive the children would understand this difficult concept. I have the skill to create learning aides that will reach the different modalities of learning. With a Microsoft Surface Studio I can provide a more customized learning experience based on the immediate needs of my individual students.
Please consider funding this project. I can promise that the resources from a computer of this caliber will not go to waste. This computer will be used to its capacity.
