My students need an iPad2, a protective cover for the iPad 2 and an AV Adapter in order to help meet their physical challenges and enrich their Art class experience.

My Students
Independence in the art classroom is achievable through the technology of an iPad2. My physically challenged students will have equal access to art projects that are presented using an interactive smart board by placing an iPad2 in their hands.
I am an Art teacher for 600 students at a kindergarten through fifth grade elementary school in a poor, rural area located in Northwest Florida.
This is a Title I school where over 90% of our students receive free or reduced lunch and all students receive a free breakfast. Many of my students have physical challenges that prohibit them from participating in interactive ActviBoard projects. These are fantastic kids who deserve the best that technology can offer them in all activities. This iPad2 will level the interactive playing field and accomplish this goal.
My Project
I am requesting an iPad2 to enrich my students' Art class experience. Physically challenged students will be able use this iPad2 as an extension of their hands and interact with the smart board in my classroom. I have requested a cover to protect the iPad2 and an AV Adapter.
With this iPad2, I can access the Internet and educational apps. I will be able to show PowerPoints, flip charts, draw, and color, as well as have student use the tool to create art projects and solve complex art problems. There are many apps that are art based where students can use the iPad2 as their artist tool. There are also many other educational apps I can download that students will have access to in my class.
At some point we have all experienced the inability to access something because we were unable to physically reach out and touch it.
Physically challenged students experience this lack of access daily and the iPad2 can help solve this issue by giving all students the ability to interact with the ActivBoard from any location in my classroom. Please help our students who are "Reaching For The Top" make it all the way to the top.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
