This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach as a full-time music teacher in a public school setting with grades pre-k through 5th. The students I see are eager to learn music and play musical instruments. They are creative, thoughtful and full of excitement during any given school day.

My students are hard workers who value music. They encourage one another and lift each other up when new instruction takes place, providing an audience for each individual student to show success in their new learning.
My Project
I am asking for recorders to help my students be able to use at school and home during our school year. Students have had a few hard years within the music classroom. Due to Covid protocols, many instruments were not to be played or handled in the previous couple years meaning students were not able to experience music to its fullest potential. Providing as many students as possible with their own recorders to use this school year would ensure that all students can use instruments while still following Covid guidelines.

Plato If I can provide my students with the instruments and the knowledge of music they can continue their journey throughout school, Pre-K through 5th grade and onward!
I am requesting multiple instruments so that students can continue their learning at home, practicing and showing their families their abilities in hopes that when they come to school with their instruments they have gained more confidence in their abilities as a musician. Students cannot share instruments and therefore it is important that they all receive the chance to learn and play like the other students.
