Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are a group of spunky first graders that are eager to learn and grow. Although my class is a general education class, we are an inclusive classroom and there are SPED and ELL students in our class as well. About half of my students are struggling readers and some are struggling with math as well. They need a variety of teaching strategies and learning aids to keep them motivated and focused so that they can maximize their learning experience.

My Project

With these 5 tablets, I will better be able to integrate technology into my classroom. This is definitely a fantastic way to reach the diversity of the learning styles of my students. This will give my students the chance to interact with their classmates more by encouraging collaboration. Integrating technology into my classroom will help my students stay engaged and make them more interested in learning. With the addition of the tablets in the classroom, I expect my students to become even more excited about learning because they will be able to use the tools they love while doing so. I believe that by integrating more technology into my classroom, it will make my students more responsible and help them take more control over their own learning. They will have instant access to digital textbooks and computer-based learning programs via the use of their student portal. I firmly believe that by integrating more technology into my classroom it will have a direct impact on student achievement and my students will become more successful learners.
