My Students
Welcome to my PreK classroom! My students are 3, 4, and 5-year-olds who attend a Title I public school in Washington, DC. My class is comprised of all special education students.
As young children, many of my students are in school for the first time.
They experience the world as full of wonder and possibility. This gives me hope and inspiration every day.
My Project
The materials in this project are toys - because all children learn through play! Playing with toys is fun and also work!
With a wide range of developmental levels in my classroom I need more variety in my classroom materials so that I can reach all of my students.
The items in this project will be used in the classroom to support fine motor development, math concepts, language development, and cognitive development. Social-emotional learning is ever-present as children learn to ask for help, take turns with another child, or persist through the challenges of using something new.
