My Students
My students reside predominantly in a variety of areas in Queens that have been hit hard by the Coronavirus.
Since the closing of school, many of my students have faced difficult home situations and need basic food and safety necessities.
My Project
As a result of parents being unable to work during this Coronavirus pandemic, many students have been lacking the basic essentials needed, which is frightening. Being able to provide nutritional snacks or first aid equipment may help to ease some of the strain they are experiencing.
We all need to reach out and support those who are struggling most during this time when many feel isolated and helpless.
Knowing that cereal, peanut butter, and granola bars have been sent to help with hunger will support their learning and boost spirits.
