My students are currently being serviced in a self-contained setting due to their cognitive challenges. As a result, I have non-verbal and verbal students who love learning and engaging with others but often struggle as a result of their speech and language disabilities. My 4/5th grade students learn differently but they learn! Our team is committed to ensuring they receive all of the opportunities and support they deserve that would make for a better quality of life now and in their future.
These kids make teaching worth it!
My kids will soar above the clouds when they begin to explore and create with their Lego "tools". They'll be able to either work as a group and improve their social skills as the develop a one of a kind Lego world; or they can work independently and focus on fine motor skills as they build intricate masterpieces. The students vary in exceptionality and will "come to the table" encouraged and prepared to share their skills, model for their peers as well as learn techniques in creativity! I can't wait to see how far they soar!
