Help me give my students an opportunity to use project management tools to raise funds for our DECA chapter through fundraising personalized keepsakes. Students will learn about business, selling, product development, promotion, pricing strategies and more.
My students are working on a DECA Sales Project using project management tools such as Trello. Their goal is to raise funds for student travel and registration for Region Competition, Fall Rally, Fall Leadership, State Competition and hopefully DECA International Development Career Conference. DECA students will use sublimation to provide customers with personalized keepsakes. My students' plan is to provide custom products for Christmas, School Spirit/Homecoming, Valentines Day, Graduation and more. 100% of the profit from their sales will go towards each student's travel.
Through this Sales Project, the raised funds will help students eliminate the financial burden many faces with the cost of out-of-town travel for competitions.
We are asking for your help in providing a jump start for our fundraising efforts such as product packaging materials to get started such as merchandise bags, sales order forms, a heat press machine for sublimation, a laptop designated for sublimation, and designing images. Students will employ processes and techniques to sell goods to customers. Students will demonstrate sales techniques. Students will coordinate activities in the promotional mix to help generate sales from peers and parents. Students will identify product opportunities and utilize pricing strategies by planning various fundraisers to maximize returns and meet customers’ perception of value. Razorback Treasures is a unique way my students can provide customers a personalized product that they can cherish for years to come such as graduation stoles, custom jewelry, keychains, pillows, shirts, graduation garden flags, ornaments, magnets, banners, and more.
This sales project will build confidence by learning how to market themselves, network, and handle customer service and important life skills. Razorback Treasures will teach children about responsibility, self-motivation, problem-solving, and money management and inspire them and others to become lifelong learners and entrepreneurs.
