My Students

My students at my school are nothing short of amazing. Many of the students in the community face financial hardships at home and help raise the families they are apart of. My students don't have many new sets of books, and therefore we are hoping to grow our classroom set library to enhance learning.

My Project

There is a new reading initiative at our school, and I have submitted a proposal to help bridge the gap for our schools most struggling readers. We have over 200 students who are considered low level readers and are reluctant to engage in the ELA classroom.

My goal is to take these reluctant readers and use the books I've proposed to create an engaging atmosphere that empowers and challenges students like they have never experienced.

Each of the book sets I have selected will be resources for my brand new class and will impact the schools most reluctant readers!
